In imitation of Christ the Good Shepered Bishop Obviar perform his pastoral ministry attending to his flock and teaching catechism.
The Eucharistic Lord is the Center of his ministry as he believe that active ministry would lose meaning and direction without prayer and contemplation.
For him also holiness is the foundation of every Christian life...By faithful response to grace Bishop Alfredo Obviar founded the Missionary Catechist of St. Therese to fulfill the final instruction of Jesus to his desciples to proclaim the good news the Sisters does it through catechism...The good Bishop knows the importance of catechism for us and he knew also that in this way more people will be drawn to God approaching the perfection which our Lord expects from us.
His whole hearted and full submission to the decision of the Catholic Church and complete humble obedience to God's holy and divine will is the greatest wonder of this holy man as he choose Obedience to be his path to holiness.
