Holiness from Slavery to Sainthood |
PRAYER
O Saint Josephine Bakhita “most loving flower of
Africa” at an early age you experienced the anguish of kidnapping, and have
been sold and resold at the market experiencing the humiliations and sufferings
of slavery, both physical and moral. Dearest Black Mother and “universal
sister” evangelical model of humble faith and ardent charity that bloomed
marvelously in Italy grant us the desire to believed and to love in the spirit
of the Gospel like what you did. Listen favorably to our prayers and grant us
the grace of (mention
your request) which you know is necessary to our spiritual welfare
and free us from the chain of individualism and connect us to those who are in most
need of our help. Amen.
