LITANY
Forgive us, Lord.
Because we do forget that
our body, dead or alive, is sacred and sanctified and nourished by your divine
grace especially through the sacraments.
Forgive us, Lord.
Because we tend to collect
relics and use it for our personal desires.
Forgive us, Lord.
For we forget that doing
such sacrilegious act has deplorable consequences as taught by the Holy Mother
Church.
Forgive us, Lord.
Because some people use the
relics for their own benefit.
Forgive us, Lord.
For some people tend to
sell relics and engaged with trade using these sacred gifts.
Forgive us, Lord.
Because some people lied just to have them in
possession for their own enjoyment.
Forgive us, Lord.
For we tend to forget that
relics are for the Church, the people of God.
Forgive us, Lord.
Because we keep the relics
as we owned it, which must be for the public.
Forgive us, Lord.
For there are many private individuals
who have relics in our country were divided in spirit and visions.
Forgive us, Lord.
Because we believe so much
in our own capacity and knowledge to the point that we set aside the teaching
of the Church.
Forgive us, Lord.
For we tend to use relics
for our personal fame.
Forgive us, Lord.
For we tend to forget that
the presence of relics in our life is a challenge to have a good and Christian
attitudes. Enlighten us, and unite us under the Holy Name of Jesus.
Forgive us, Lord.
Because we do not respect
conscientiously your precious gift the Sacred Relics.
Forgive us, Lord.
For we forget that
respecting and cherishing the relics express how we respect and cherish human life
from conception till death.
Forgive us, Lord.
For we use our body
excessively.
Forgive us, Lord.
Because we tend to forget
that our body is the temple the Holy Spirit
Forgive us, Lord.
For we tend to forget that
relics are avenue of your graces and these are remains of your holy servants
now living in your kingdom.
Forgive us, Lord.
For we forget that you
alone were enough.
Forgive us, Lord.
Because we forget to remain
humble.
Forgive us, Lord.
Because we are addicted with relics and tend
to request as many as we can.
Forgive us, Lord.
For we forget to gave you
thanks.
Forgive us, Lord.
Because we are not generous
towards Your great love and mercy.
Forgive us, Lord.
For we forget to use this
gift in a righteous way.
Forgive us, Lord.
For we tend to decline our
vocation to become holy.
Forgive us, Lord.
Because we fear the cross
Forgive us, Lord.
For we fear death.
Forgive us, Lord.
Because some people do not
recognizes you in the Holy Eucharist.
Forgive us, Lord.
For, they do not know what
they are doing.
Forgive us, Lord.
For, we do not know what we
are doing.
Let us pray
Send your Holy Spirit to
remind us to do what is right and enlighten the minds of those people who
desecrate the Sacred Relics so that they may return to you with humble and
contrite heart. May all the Angels and Saints pray for us, especially for those
people who desecrate the sacred relics and commit sacrileges toward your
Mystical Body, the Church. May we always be reminded that Sacred Relics are
treasures of our faith, of our Church, that we need to protect and venerate. We
ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with
you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.
